Summer 2020 Project Scientist/Environmental Engineer Internships Available
Kieser & Associates, LLC, an environmental science and engineering firm based in Kalamazoo, MI has openings for Summer 2020 technical internships. The firm will consider highly motivated and detail-oriented individuals to assist with field work and technical tasks associated with biocontrols for aquatic invasive species, aquatic vegetation surveys, data compilation, statistical analyses, and research associated with watershed management, stormwater management and BMP retrofit design. Individuals with macroinvertebrate and aquatic plant identification skills, and/or harmful algal bloom assessment will receive preference for the Project Scientist internship. The Environmental Engineering internship will emphasize watershed hydrology experience. Individuals should minimally be nearing completion of a bachelor’s degree in Biology, Ecology, Environmental Engineering/Water Resources or a closely related discipline. Graduate students pursuing advanced degrees will receive priority consideration. These are 3-month contract internship positions (40 hours/week) with no benefits. Compensation will range from $14-$18/hour depending on experience and qualifications.
