The syllabus of the examination will be based on the standards of essential qualification required for the post. The medium for Written Examinationwill be Hindi or English.
Paper Pattern
DRDO Entry Test 2019 Pattern:-
The selection process will consist of DRDO entry test in two tiers: Tier-I, Tier-II & preliminary document verification. Tier-I & Tier-II Tests: i) Both the test will be Computer Based Test (CBT). CBT will be conducted in two tiers as described in Table-1. ii) The CBT will consist of objective type-multiple choice questions only. iii) The syllabus of the examinations will be commensurate to essential qualification required for the post. iv) The medium for examination will be Hindi or English. v) Tier-I examination is for screening only. vi) Tier-II examination is for provisional selection. vii) Marks will be normalized in Tier-I & Tier-II examination as per best practices.

General intelligence & Reasoning ability

Tier II - CBT for Provisional Selection

Maximum Marks - 100
Duration - 90 Mins.
SCREENING CRITERIA: Tier-I exam is for screening. The minimum qualifying marks for Tier-I is 40% for UR/OBC candidate and 35% for SC/ST candidates. Candidates will be provisionally shortlisted based on Tier-I examination merit in a ratio of 1:10 (No. of vacancy: No. of shortlisted candidates) provided they secure the minimum qualifying marks in examination. However, this ratio may increase depending upon organizational requirements. The last candidate securing equal marks in the bracket will also be included. These shortlisted candidates will be called for Tier-II examination.
PROVISIONAL SELECTION CRITERIA: The provisional selection will be based on the merit obtained in Tier-II examination depending upon the post/category/sub-category of the candidate. The minimum qualifying marks for Tier-II is 40% for UR/OBC candidate and 35% for SC/ST candidates.
NOTE: A) SC, ST, OBC and PWD candidates, who are selected on their own merit without relaxed standards, will be considered against the unreserved vacancies as per Govt. of India orders. B) The reserved vacancies will be filled up separately from amongst the eligible SC, ST, OBC, and PWD candidates.
DRDO Entry Test Preparation
Sample papers and objective books available both online and in the market are the best guides in terms of DRDO entry test preparation. Candidates who have technical subjects for the exam should practise and solve as many questions papers as possible. Referring to technical books for the subject will also help preparations. Regular reading of newspapers and magazines is also helpful especially for general knowledge and awareness section. Also find the time to brush on your technical skills. In case of those for whom physical efficiency test is a must find time for physical activity and drills.
