Below you will find NDA 2020 Selection Procedure, National Defence Academy Selection Criteria 2020 . NDA i.e. National Defence academy is the joint service academy of the Indian armed forces. The candidates will be selected for NDA on the basis of the written examination and other rounds of selection. A plenty of hard work is required to qualify this exam and to get selected for the same. In order to choose the most commendable candidates, the official authority i.e. UPSC will conduct the NDA Selection Procedure 2020 for the eligible aspirants. The candidates can take part in the same only by ascertaining their eligibility.
Stages:-
Basically, the selection procedure comprises of two stages which are:
• Written exam
• SSB Test/ interview
Detailed Description:
• The selection procedure aims at the selecting the most appropriate candidates for National Defence academy.
• It will be organized as per the official schedule announced by the official authority. It is the two – stage process in which both the stages has its own importance.
• Only those candidates who will qualify the 1st stage are eligible to appear for the next one.
Stage 1: Written Exam:
• This is the first and the prime stage of the NDA Selection Procedure 2020.
• The candidates need to appear in this exam as per the official schedule along with their admit card.
• Mere appearing in the exam is not enough. The aspirants will have to secure the minimum qualifying marks so as to qualify the same and join the next round of selection.
• The exam will be held in the offline mode where the candidates need to mark their answer on the machine – graded OMR sheet.
• The exam will be objective in nature where the multiple alternatives will be given and only one option is correct.
• It will comprise of subjects such as mathematics and general ability test.
• The exam will be of total 900 marks.
• 2.5 hours will be provided to solve each subject of the exam paper.
• Only those students who qualify this exam will be then called for the next and final round of selection.
Stage 2: SSB Test/ Interview:
• This is the second stage of
NDA Selection Procedure 2020 which comprises of total 900 marks and the candidates need to qualify the same so as to be considered for the final selection.
• Request for postponing the interview shall be considered only in the exceptional circumstances and that too if it is convenient for the official authority. Such requests should be address to the administrative officer of the selection center from where the call letter for the interview has been received.
• The two – stage selection procedure has been introduced by the official authority based on the Psychological aptitude test and intelligence test.
• All the students will have to undergo the first stage on the first day. Only those students who qualify the same will be eligible and admitted to the next one.
• Those students who will qualify the 2nd stage are required to submit the original certificates and the photocopy each of

• The candidates who appeared before the SSB and undergo the test there will do so at their own risk.
• In order to be acceptable for Naval academy and air force, the candidates will have obtain the minimum qualifying marks fixed by the official authority separately in written exam and officers potentiality test.
• Subject to these conditions, a combined merit list will be released on the basis of the total marks secured by the candidates in written exam and SSB tests.
• The final selection to the army/ navy/ air force of the NDA will be done up to the number of vacancies available subject to medical fitness, eligibility and merit cum preference of the aspirants.

Requirements:-
• Before filling the application form, the essential details that are required to be kept handy.
• The applicant should submit the valid email id and password as all the communication shall be done via electronic medium.
• The students need to have scanned images of the photo and signature as per the official guidelines.
• The scanned files must be in the .jpg format.
• The photo should be taken in the professional studio and of high – quality.
• The photo with cap, hat, goggles, and scarf are liable to be rejected by the official authority.
• The photo should be clear and crisp as the blurred photos are totally unacceptable.
How to Complete?
• The official authority will release the
NDA Application Form 2020 only in the online mode.
• The applicants are suggested to fill the application form as soon as possible without waiting for the last date of submission.
• Only one application is required to be submitted by the students. However, if he submits more than one application then he must ensure that the application form with higher registration ID is correct and completed.
• While filling the application form, the student should carefully decide the exam center. If he appeared at the center other than allotted one than his paper will not be valued and his candidature is liable to be canceled.

• The next step is to complete the application form by furnishing the essential details such as:

• On adding these details in the NDA Application Form 2020, the students need to upload the scanned files as per the official guidelines.
• The next step is the remittance of the application fee. The students can pay the application fee either by net banking or through cash at any of the SB branches.
• The students who opt for the pay by cash option will have to print their pay – in – slip and deposit the fee on the next working day only.

NDA Syllabus
NDA 2020 Syllabus:-
The exam will be divided into papers i.e. Paper I (Mathematics) Paper II (General Ability Test).
General Ability Test will be further divided into two parts that include English and General Knowledge.
Syllabus for all the mentioned subjects are given below:-
•Mathematics:- Algebra, Matrices & Determinants, Trigonometry, Analytical Geometry of Two & Three Dimensions, Different Calculus, Integral Calculus & Different Equations, Vector Algebra and Statistics & Probability.
•English: - The English paper will be designed to test students’ proficiency in the languages with verbal reasoning and usage of grammar.
•General Knowledge: - The GK paper will include subjects like Physics, Chemistry, General Science, Social Studies, Geography and
•Current Events. For all the mentioned subjects in the paper, the syllabus will be from 10+2 level.

Penalty for wrong Answers -
There will be penalty (Negative Marking) for wrong answer marked by the candidate in the Objective Type Question Papers.
There are four alternatives for the answer to every question. For each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate. One third (0.33) of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty.
If a candidate given more than one answer, it will be treated as a wrong answer even if one of the given answers happens to be correct and there will be same penalty as above for that question.
If a question is left blank i.e. no answer is given by the candidate, there will be no penalty for that question.
NDA Preparation
NDA 2020 Preparation:-
For Mathematics paper, question will be asked from 10+2 level. Hence, it is advisable that candidates should practice and solve questions from 10th to 12th class, working on key section such as Algebra, Trigonometry and Geometry. Try to read newspapers daily to improve reading skills. English paper will broadly cover grammar, synonyms, antonyms and reading Comprehensions.With Physics, Chemistry and General Science, try to stick with the basics that have been taught from 10th to 12th class.
