Board of Secondary Education, Odisha conducts ODISHA SECONDARY SCHOOL TEACHER ELIGIBILITY TEST (OSSTET) for appointment as a teacher in any of the secondary schools of the state.
 
OTET 2018 Eligibility:-
 
(I) Persons having the following minimum qualifications shall be eligible for appearing in OTET.
 
(a) Category-A ( Paper- I )
 
Higher Secondary (+2 or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education(CT).
 
OR
 
Higher Secondary (+2 or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Education(Special Education).
 
OR
 
Graduation and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education/ 2-year Diploma in Special Education.
 
(b) Category-B ( Paper- II )
 
Graduation with at least 50% marks and 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.)
 
OR
 
Graduation with 50% marks and 1-year B.Ed.(Special Education)
 
OR
 
Higher Secondary (+2 or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-year B.A.Ed./ B.Sc.Ed.
 
Provided that relaxation of 5% minimum qualifying marks in +2 or graduation level, as the case may be, shall be allowed to the candidates belonging to SC, ST,OBC/ SEBC category.
 
 
Provided further that candidates having minimum marks in +2 or graduation level, as the case may be, prescribed at the time of admission in teacher education courses shall also eligible to appear in OTET.

OTET 2018 Registration / Application Procedure:-
 
 
Apply online at website:- www,bseodisha.ac.in from m 12.11.2018 to 27.11.2018.
 
The following fee shall be applicable for candidates appearing at the OTET, 2018.
 
(a) For SC & ST Category of candidates :- Rs.300/- 
(b) For Other Category of candidates :- Rs.500/- 
 
Payment can be made through State Bank of India only in following three ways -
 
(i) Net Banking (Online Mode)
(ii) ATM Card (Online Mode)
(iii) Cash payment through bank challan (Offline mode)
 
Upload the required certificates/ documents/ photos in jpg/jpeg/.jpg/.png file within the specified size.

All the questions will be Multiple Choice Questions, each carrying one mark, with four alternatives out of which one answer will be correct. Questions will be set to assess candidate’s ability to analyze, interpret and apply the subject matter.
 
There will be no negative marking.
