On the occasion of his dad Krishna's birthday (May 31), Mahesh Babu surprised his fans by revealing the title and the first look poster of his upcoming film, Sarkaru Vaari Paata.

The latest buzz in the industry is that Kannada actor Kichcha Sudeep has been approached to play the antagonist in the film. Sources say that the team was quite impressed with his performance as the villain in Salman Khan's Dabangg 3 and wanted to rope him in for the project.

According to reports, director Parasuram narrated the script to Sudeep over a video call. However, nothing has been fianlised yet. The makers have also initiated talks with actress Keerthy Suresh to play the female lead. An official announcement regarding the cast will be made soon.

Mahesh Babu's film is touted to be a family entertainer and the makers are planning to rope in many actors from other languages too. Reports also suggest that he will begin shooting for the film only by the end of this year and not anytime soon.

The technical crew of the film consists of composer SS Thaman, cinematographer PS Vinod and editor Marthand K Venkatesh.

It is worth mentioning that Mahesh Babu's last two films - Maharshi and Sarileru Neekevvaru garnered good response from the audience as well as the critics. He will also be producing a couple of projects this year.
