Staff Selection Commission conducts recruitment to Group C (non-technical) & Group B (non – gazette - both technical & non-technical) posts in various departments of  the Government of India, its attached & subordinate offices except those for which recruitment is made by the Railway Recruitment Boards & Industrial establishments. It  also conducts department examinations for individuals in government service for promotion in grades.

•SSC conducts open examinations regularly for the following levels which covers the following posts.

Graduate Level - Assistants, Auditors/ Jr. Accountants/ Upper Division Clerks, Divisional Accountants, Inspectors of Income Tax/ Central Excise, Sub-Inspectors in Central Police Organizations (CRPF, BSF, CISF, ITBP and SSB) CBI, Section Officer (Commercial) and Section Officer (Audit).

10+2 Level - Stenographer Grade `C`, Stenographer Grade `D` and Lower Division Clerks.

Direct interviews are held for some posts which are known as Selection Posts such as Statistical Assistant, Store Keeper, Jr. /Sr. Computer Assistant, Information Assistant, etc. Applications for such post are invited through advertisements, as and when such vacancies are reported to the Commission.

SSC Exam 2019 Eligibility:-

Graduate level

Educational Qualification-  Bachelors degree in any discipline from a recognized university.

Age Limit- Applicants aged between 18 and 27 years of age are eligible to apply.

10+2 level

Educational Qualification- Should have passed 10+2 or equivalent or higher examination from a recognized board or university.

Age Limit- Candidates aged between 18 and 27 years of age are eligible to apply.

Age Relaxation is common for both levels

• SC/ST- 05 years
• OBC-03 years
• PH- 10 years
• PH+OBC- 13 years
• PH+ SC/ST- 15 years

The written exam consists of one objective type paper with the following sections

II. English language [basic knowledge] (50 questions)- 50 marks

III. Quantitative aptitude [basic arithmetic skills] (50 questions)- 50 marks

IV. General Awareness (50 questions) - 50 marks

SSC Graduate Level Exam

Statistical Investigator, Complier (GRADE-II)

Duration- 2 hours

Total- 200 marks

Tier-I

A. General Intelligence + Reasoning - 50 marks
B. Gen.Awareness-50marks
C. Quantitative Aptitude –50 marks

Computer Proficiency test for the Post of Assistant in CSS- 700

Interview- 100

Statistical Investigator (GRADE-II)

Duration- 2 hours

Tier-II

I.Quantitative Abilities : 200 marks (100 Questions)
II. English Language & Comprehension: 200 marks.

Total- 400 marks

Posts for which no exam is prescribed other than Compiler

Data Entry Skill test at the speed of 8,000 key depressions per hour for the post of Tax assistant.

Statistical Investigator Grade-II

Paper-I & II as above-400 marks

Paper-III Statistics -200 marks(100 Questions).

Interview- 100 marks.
