The West Bengal School Service Commission conducts Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) Upper Primary Level for the candidates aspiring to become teachers in upper primary schools in the state of West Bengal.



WBTET 2017 (Upper Primary Level) ELIGIBILITY:-  



The candidates having the following minimum educational qualification and criteria etc. are eligible for appearing in TET-2015, (Upper Primary Level)
.
(a) Citizenship: Only citizen of India can apply for the said Teacher Eligibility Testi.e  TET - 2015, (Upper Primary Level).

(b) The  candidate  should  satisfy  himself/herself  about  his/her  eligibility  before  applying  and  shall  be  personally  responsible  in  case  he/she  is  not  eligible  to apply as per the given  eligibility criteria. It is to be noted that if a candidate has been allowed to appear in the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET), it does not imply that the candidate’s eligibility has been verified. It does not vest any right with the candidate for appointment.  The  eligibility even  for  a  candidate  who  has qualified  in  TET-2015 , (Upper  Primary  Level) shall  be  finally  verified  by  the concerned selecting authority/ recruiting agency/ appointing authority.  

Educational Qualification:

Persons having the following educational qualification are eligible for appearing in TET. Graduation and   2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).
OR
Graduation with at least 50% marks and   1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).
OR
Graduation  with  at  least  45%  marks  and     1-year  Bachelor  in  Education  (B.Ed),  in accordance  with  the  NCTE  (Recognition  Norms and  Procedure)  Regulations  issued  from time to time in this regard.
OR
Senior  Secondary  (or  its  equivalent)  with  at  least  50%  marks  and   4-year  Bachelor  in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
OR
Senior  Secondary  (or  its  equivalent)  with  at  least  50%  marks  and  4-year  B.A/B.Sc.Ed  or
B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed.
OR
Graduation with at least 50% marks and   1-year B.Ed. (Special Education).
OR
Graduation with at least 50% marks as per relaxation given by Ministry of Human Resource Development (Department of School Education and Literacy) vide notification number S.O. 918(E) dated 1st April, 2015, which was published in the Gazette of India on 1st April 2015)

Note D :

(i) Reservation Policy:  Relaxation up to 5% in the qualifying marks shall be allowed to the candidates belonging to reserved categories, such as SC/ST/OBC/PH.
(ii) Diploma/Degree  Course  in  Teacher  Education:  For  the  purposes  of  this  Notification,  a  Diploma/Degree course in teacher education recognized by the National Council for Teacher  Education  (NCTE)  only  shall  be considered.  However,  in  case  of  Diploma  in  Education  (Special Education) and B.ED (Special Education), a course recognized by the Rehabilitation  Council of India (RCI) only shall be considered.
(iii)  Training to be undergone:    A person with D.Ed (Special Education) qualification shall undergo, after appointment an NCTE recognized 6-month Special Programme in Elementary Education.
(iv)  The  minimum  qualifications  referred  above  apply  to  teachers  of  Languages,  Social Studies, Mathematics & Science.
(v)  The  candidate  not  having  any  of  the  above qualification  shall  not  be  eligible  for appearing in TET-2015, (Upper Primary Level).
(vi) The  candidate  should  satisfy  his/her  eligibility  before  applying  and  shall  be only  personally responsible in case it is found subsequently that he/she was not eligible to apply as per the given eligibility criteria. It is to be noted that if a candidate has been allowed to appear in TET-2015, (Upper Primary Level), it does not imply that the candidate’s eligibility has been finally verified. It does not vest any right with the candidate for appointment. The eligibility shall be finally verified, by the concerned selecting authority/ recruiting agency / appointing authority.

WBTET 2017 Application Form and Registration:

ONLINE  APPLICATION  FORM  &  SUBMISSION THEREOF AND  RELATED INFORMATION:


i) Domain:-  www.westbengalssc.com

(ii) Online Application has to be submitted by accessing the following official website of The West Bengal School Service Commission (i.e.   www.westbengalssc.com).

The  candidate  should  supply  all  the  required  details as  mentioned  in  the  application  form while filling up the „Online? Application.

Candidates can submit online application visiting nearest “ Sahaj Tathya Mitra Kendra, Common Service centre (C.S.C.)” with his/her documents with recent  passport  size photograph  with  signature  under  it.  At  Sahaj  Tathya  Mitra  Kendra  applicant  can apply online and also can pay the fees  by cash at Sahaj Tathya Mitra Kendra and take a Receipt.

For  uploading  the  Photograph  and  the  Signature – Please  paste  the  coloured  photograph on  a  white  paper  and  put  your  full  signature  just  below  the  Photograph. Now  scan  the  photograph  and  the  signature  below  it  and  crop  it.  Next save it such a way that the file size becomes between 10 KB to 30 KB.  Now upload the photograph by clicking the button and click on the final submit button. For details please follow the instruction given in Information Brochure.

After  successful  uploading  of  all  the  requisite  information  and  the  photo – with signature,   candidates will be able to print their field in Application form where he/she  will  get  an  Application  ID which  can  be  used  for  future  reference.  Candidate can also take a print-out of the application form with Payment – Done status after 48 hours of payment of the fees.

Candidates  can  also  apply  online  by  accessing  the  official  website  of The  West Bengal  School  Service  Commission  (i.e.   www.westbengalssc.com)  and  then feeding   his/her   personal   and   educational   information   as   required   by   the commission and finally  he/she will get an e-Challan (EASY PAY Cash  Challan/ Power  Ecoll- NEFT)  from  AXIS  Bank.  He/she  has  to  take  a  printout  copy  of  the same  and  has  to  visit  designated  bank  branches  to  submit  the  fees after  24 hours of successful submission of the Online Application Form.

EASY PAY (Cash Challan)

a) After selecting Cash Mode option a CASH CHALLAN will be generated.
b) The applicant will take print out of the challan and visit nearest Axis Bank Branch to deposit the application fees.( List of Bank Branches  is available in Commission?s Website)
c) The applicant should visit Axis Bank Branch counter only after 24 hours of CASH CHALLAN generation.
d) The Cashier will accept cash and returned APPLICANT?S Copy with bank?s seal & sign to the applicant. The Bank?s copy will be retained by the Axis Bank Branch.
e) All the applicants are instructed to retain the bank?s seal & signed challan copy for future reference.
f) Any manually modified challan will not be accepted at Bank counters Power

E-Coll –NEFT:

a) After selecting NEFT Mode option a NEFT APPLICATION FORM will be generated.
b) The applicant will take print out of the challan and fill up below details neatly,

1. Bank Name
2. Branch Name
3. Date
4. Name of the Applicant
5. Mobile Number
6. Signature of the Applicant

c) The applicant should visit his/ her own Bank branch where he/she has an account to do NEFT. If the Bank Branch provides any other Challan of their Bank that should also be filled in.

d) The Bank Branch official will fill up NEFT Charges and Total Amount field.

e) The Bank Branch official will remit the application fees through NEFT.

f) After successful remittance the Bank official will provide UTR No. and put seal & sign on the Customer Acknowledgement slip.

g) The Bank official will return the Customer Acknowledgement slip to the applicant and the applicant will retain the Acknowledgement slip for future reference.

WBTET (Upper Primary Level) Syllabus:-  As per NCTE Guidelines.

Selection  of  Language  I  &  Language  II: A  candidate shall select  Language  I  and Language II in the TET  from the list  of prescribed  options in the application Form. The candidate must have the language (be it language-I or language –II) selected by him from the list as first or second or third language at Secondary level or Higher Secondary Level or its   equivalent or at Graduation level. The Language-II selected by  a  candidate  shall  have  to  be  a  language  other  than  language –I  selected  by him / her.
