Story
Elizabeth, sister of Mary, was old when she became pregnant with John. An angel of the Lord had told Zechariah, JohnтАЩs father, that his son would be filled with the Holy Spirit, right from birth, and that he was to be named John.
John grew up to be a bit of a wild man, who lived in the desert and preached the message of God, foretelling the coming of Jesus the Messiah. He spent a lot of time baptizing people in the river and teaching them to repent. When Jesus went to John to be baptized, John was overjoyed, and the Holy Spirit engulfed Jesus. At that moment, a voice from heaven spoke and said: тАЬThis is my Son, in whom I am pleased.тАЭ
