IES

IES- Indian Engineering Service Exam is a paper-pen based, four-part government service examination directed by the Union Public Service Commission for recruitment of engineers in the Engineering Services of the Government of India. IES 2020 exam 8is conducted for recruitment of engineers in government services/sectors of railways, roadways, defence, energy and telecommunication. Any graduate engineer can apply for (ESE) Engineering Service Examination 2020. 
 
ESE 2020 is a combined four stage examination that consists of six test. Each test is qualifying in nature as such engineering aspirants need to clear each test in order to be selected as IES officer as per the recommendations of the UPSC. 
 
As far as the question of whether, IES exam is easy or tough?  Indian Engineering Service examination is also considered as the toughest examination in India and also counted among the toughest exams in the world due to two reasons mainly
 
a) the disparity in terms of number of aspirants and offered posts 
b) its technical nature. 
 
Most toppers of this ESE  are graduates of institutes like the Indian Institutes of Technology and Indian Institute of Science. The career of an IES officer is highly respected due to its diverse areas of work. To the Indian Government an IES officer is an important link in the government's task and functions that include railways, roads, defense, manufacturing, inspection, supply, construction, public works, power, telecommunications, etc. All appointments to the Group "A" services are made by the President of India. 
 
Recruitment on the results of this examination will be made to the Services/ Posts under the following categories:-
 
Category I-Civil Engineering.
Category II-Mechanical Engineering.
Category III-Electrical Engineering.
Category IV-Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering.
 
The number of vacancies to be filled on the results of the examination is expected to be approximately 588 including 18 PH(LDCP-15 & HI-03) vacancies.

Eligibility for IES 2020 Exam:- 

 
 
Age Limits:-
 
A candidate for this examination must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 30 years on  the 1st  January, 2020 i.e., he/she must have been born not earlier than 2nd  January, 1990 and not later than 1st January, 1999. 
 
Upper Age Relaxation:-
 
(i) Up to maximum of five years if a candidate belongs to a Scheduled Caste or a Scheduled Tribe.  
 
(ii) Up to maximum of three years in the case of candidates belonging to Other Backward Classes who are eligible to avail  of reservation applicable to such candidates. 
 
 
Minimum Educational Qualification:-
 
For admission to the examination, a candidate must have –
 
(a) obtained a degree in Engineering from a University incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other Educational Institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as Universities under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956; or
(b) passed Sections A and B of the Institution Examinations of the Institution of Engineers (India); or
(c) obtained a degree/diploma in Engineering from such foreign University/College/Institution and under such conditions as may be recognised by the Government for the purpose from time to time, or
(d) passed Graduate Membership Examination of the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (India);
 
or
 
(e) passed Associate Membership Examination Parts II and III/Sections A and B of the Aeronautical Society of India; or
(f) passed Graduate Membership Examination of the Institution of Electronics and Radio Engineers, London held after November, 1959 Provided that a candidate for the post of Indian Naval Armament Service (Electronics Engineering Posts) and Indian Radio Regulatory Service Gr ‘A’ may possess any of the above qualifications or the qualification mentioned below namely:-
 
For Indian Naval Armament Service (Electronics Engg. Posts) - M.Sc. degree or its equivalent with Wireless Communication Electronics, Radio Physics or Radio Engineering as a special subject.
 
For Indian Radio Regulatory Service – M.Sc. degree or its equivalent with Wireless Communication Electronics, Radio Physics or Radio Engineering as a special subject or Master’s Degree in Science with Physics and Radio Communication or Electronics or Telecommunication as a special subject.

IEO

International English Olympiad (IEO) is a one-of-a-kind examination, and first in the history of English language testing in India. IEO is a joint venture of the Science Olympiad Foundation and The English and Foreign Languages University (EFLU), Hyderabad. The examination has been developed by a group of testing professionals who constitute the All India English Language Testing Authority (AIELTA) at The English and Foreign Languages University (EFLU).

Students of classes 1st to 12th are eligible to appear for the IEO. It is a single level exam.

 

IEO Registration / Application Form

Students have to register for the exam only from their school itself. IMO does not accept individual participation of the candidate from any other mode.

All the information is sent to the schools all over the country / Asian countries along with prospectus, registration forms, posters and other details before the first round and then as the date and venue of the second level is decided, the information is sent to the relevant schools again.

IELTS

Conducted jointly by University of Cambridge ESOL Examinations (Cambridge ESOL), British Council and IDP Education Australia, IELTS or International English Language Testing System is a mandatory test that for those people who want to study or work in those countries, where English is used as a language for communication.

 
IELTS exam is one of such exams, which is conducted every year to judge the comprehensive understanding of English as a language among those students who wish to drift in foreign countries for temporary purposes; be it for study or work purpose. The exam is taken to test reading, listening, speaking and writing skills of aspiring students.  
There are two types of IELTS exam i.e. 1) Academic Version 2) General Training Version.
 
Academic Version exam is for those candidates who wish to get admission in foreign universities or institutions and for professionals from Medical field immigrating to English speaking country for practicing purpose.
 
General Training Version is for those individuals, who want to undertake non academic training or to gain work experience.
It’s an online exam that is offered 3-4 times a month. IELTS exam is conducted in online as well as offline mode. Currently, over 130 countries use IELTS exam’s score.

 

IELTS Registration / Application Form

IELTS 2020 Application Form:-

Candidates, who are interested in appearing for IELTS exam, must register themselves. Registration can be done in any one of the following three methods i.e. Online, Courier and in Person.

Due to the availability of internet, many people opt for Online Registration. For Online Registration, candidates should enter their personal details without any error. The online registration should be made seven days before the test.  Payment of examination fee can be made by using credit cards or debit cards.

After downloading the Registration form (PDF version), student should review it and attach a demand draft of test fee (Rs 7,900/8,900 as applicable), affix it with the form and send it to the following address.

c) Students awaiting their result can also apply for provisional admission.
 
INTERMEDIATE COURSE:-
 
Eligibility for Admission:-
 
a) Should have passed Senior Secondary School examination (10+2) and Foundation Course of  the Institute of Cost Accountants of India/ Graduation in any discipline other than Fine arts/Foundation (Entry Level) Part I Examination of CAT of the Institute/ Foundation (Entry Level) Part I Examination and Competency Level Part II Examination of CAT of the Institute.
b) Should have passed Foundation of ICSI/Intermediate of ICAI by whatever name called along with class 10+2.
c) List of other eligible qualifying examinations is given under Annexure VI of prospectus. 
d) Students waiting for their result can also apply for provisional admission. 
 
FINAL COURSE:-
 
Eligibility for Admission: 
 
a)Passed Intermediate
b) Graduation in any discipline except Fine Arts or equivalent. 
c) Candidates who have passed all eight papers of the CMA intermediate course are eligible to apply for CMA Final Course examination.

ICET

Andhra University, Visakhapatnam conducts Andhra Pradesh State Integrated Common Entrance Test (APICET) on behalf of the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education for admission into M.B.A. and M.C.A. Regular Course in Andhra Pradesh.

APICET 2020 Eligibility:-

The candidates should be Indian Nationals and should satisfy local/non-local status requirements laid down in the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions (Regulations  of Admission) Order, 1974 as amended. 
 
MBA - Degree of 3 years duration from any recognized University or its  equivalent with Mathematics as one of the subjects at 10th class level. 
 
MCA - Degree of 3 years duration with “Mathematics” as one of the  subject at Intermediate or Degree level. 
 
Candidate with aggregate marks of 50% (45% in case of reserved  categories) are alone are eligible to take admission through ICET as  per the latest AICTE Approval Process Handbook 2020-21. 
 
The candidates who are appearing for the final year degree examination shall also be eligible to appear for APICET-2020.

IBSAT

IBSAT is a management aptitude test that is held nationwide by ICFAI (Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India) University group. It’s a two hours computer based test conducted over 95 test centers across India. Every year, ICFAI group conducts this entrance test to select the best bunches of talent for its post graduate programmes run at its 13 campuses across India. Candidates with a bachelor degree in any stream from any recognized university in India can appear for IBSAT exam. The exam tests candidates’ aptitude in qualitative technique, vocabulary in English, written & verbal skills and logical reasoning. 

Eligibility for IBSAT 2019:

2 year Management Program:-

Graduation (any discipline) with 50% and above marks (as calculated by respective University) with medium of instruction as English.
 
All applicants should have completed a minimum of 15 years of education (on 10+2+3 or 10+2+4 basis).
 
Candidates not meeting the eligibility criteria of English medium in graduation have to submit the TOEFL/ NELT/ IELTS score by May 31, 2019.
 
Applicants in their final year bachelor’s degree course are also eligible to apply, provided they complete their graduation requirements (including practical examinations / viva / assignments) before May 31, 2019. The admission will remain provisional until they produce marks sheets and degree certificates establishing their eligibility. The last date for submission of proof of graduation is November 01, 2019.
 
Eligibility criteria will be checked from August, 2019 onwards. Hence, the onus of ensuring that they satisfy the eligibility criteria rests solely with the candidates.
 
PhD Program in Management (Full-time/Part-time) -
 
Graduation (any discipline) with 50% and above marks with medium of instruction as English and
 
Post Graduation in Management (full time with specialization in Marketing/ Finance/ Human Resource Management/ Operations from an UGC approved University) with 55% and above marks or
 
Postgraduation (full-time) in Economics, Commerce, Psychology, Sociology, Public Administration, Statistics, Mathematics or in an allied discipline from a UGC recognized University in India or abroad with 55% and above marks. Candidates who are offered admission are required to undertake the first year MBA courses as a prerequisite to continue in the PhD Program. or
 
A Professional qualification like CFA/ CA/ CWA/ CS with 55% and above marks.
 
PhD Program in Economics (Full-time) -
 
Graduation with 50% and above marks AND Post graduation in Economics or allied discipline with 55% and above marks.
 
All applicants should have completed a minimum of 17 years of regular education (on 10+2+3+2 or 10+2+4+2 basis).
 
Applicants who have completed their graduation/ Post graduation on one time sitting basis or on part time, distance mode or online mode are not eligible for PhD program of IBS Hyderabad.
 
Candidates not meeting the eligibility criteria of English medium in graduation and/ or post graduation have to submit the TOEFL/ NELT/ IELTS score by May 31, 2019.
