The West Bengal School Service Commission conducts Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) Upper Primary Level for the candidates aspiring to become teachers in upper primary schools in the state of West Bengal.



WBTET 2017 (Upper Primary Level) ELIGIBILITY:-  



The candidates having the following minimum educational qualification and criteria etc. are eligible for appearing in TET-2015, (Upper Primary Level)
.
(a) Citizenship: Only citizen of India can apply for the said Teacher Eligibility Testi.e  TET - 2015, (Upper Primary Level).

(b) The  candidate  should  satisfy  himself/herself  about  his/her  eligibility  before  applying  and  shall  be  personally  responsible  in  case  he/she  is  not  eligible  to apply as per the given  eligibility criteria. It is to be noted that if a candidate has been allowed to appear in the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET), it does not imply that the candidate’s eligibility has been verified. It does not vest any right with the candidate for appointment.  The  eligibility even  for  a  candidate  who  has qualified  in  TET-2015 , (Upper  Primary  Level) shall  be  finally  verified  by  the concerned selecting authority/ recruiting agency/ appointing authority.  

Educational Qualification:

Persons having the following educational qualification are eligible for appearing in TET. Graduation and   2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).
OR
Graduation with at least 50% marks and   1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).
OR
Graduation  with  at  least  45%  marks  and     1-year  Bachelor  in  Education  (B.Ed),  in accordance  with  the  NCTE  (Recognition  Norms and  Procedure)  Regulations  issued  from time to time in this regard.
OR
Senior  Secondary  (or  its  equivalent)  with  at  least  50%  marks  and   4-year  Bachelor  in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
OR
Senior  Secondary  (or  its  equivalent)  with  at  least  50%  marks  and  4-year  B.A/B.Sc.Ed  or
B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed.
OR
Graduation with at least 50% marks and   1-year B.Ed. (Special Education).
OR
Graduation with at least 50% marks as per relaxation given by Ministry of Human Resource Development (Department of School Education and Literacy) vide notification number S.O. 918(E) dated 1st April, 2015, which was published in the Gazette of India on 1st April 2015)

Note D :

(i) Reservation Policy:  Relaxation up to 5% in the qualifying marks shall be allowed to the candidates belonging to reserved categories, such as SC/ST/OBC/PH.
(ii) Diploma/Degree  Course  in  Teacher  Education:  For  the  purposes  of  this  Notification,  a  Diploma/Degree course in teacher education recognized by the National Council for Teacher  Education  (NCTE)  only  shall  be considered.  However,  in  case  of  Diploma  in  Education  (Special Education) and B.ED (Special Education), a course recognized by the Rehabilitation  Council of India (RCI) only shall be considered.
(iii)  Training to be undergone:    A person with D.Ed (Special Education) qualification shall undergo, after appointment an NCTE recognized 6-month Special Programme in Elementary Education.
(iv)  The  minimum  qualifications  referred  above  apply  to  teachers  of  Languages,  Social Studies, Mathematics & Science.
(v)  The  candidate  not  having  any  of  the  above qualification  shall  not  be  eligible  for appearing in TET-2015, (Upper Primary Level).
(vi) The  candidate  should  satisfy  his/her  eligibility  before  applying  and  shall  be only  personally responsible in case it is found subsequently that he/she was not eligible to apply as per the given eligibility criteria. It is to be noted that if a candidate has been allowed to appear in TET-2015, (Upper Primary Level), it does not imply that the candidate’s eligibility has been finally verified. It does not vest any right with the candidate for appointment. The eligibility shall be finally verified, by the concerned selecting authority/ recruiting agency / appointing authority.

West Bengal University of Technology directs Post Graduate Entrance Test (PGET) for admission to post graduate courses of study in engineering, technology and pharmacy in WBUT and other colleges affiliated to it. Admission is done through this entrance test (PGET) however due weight-age is given to valid GATE score and previous academic record for preparation of merit list. Admission will be done through central counseling after the merit list is published by the university. The exam is of outmost importance for students wishing to apply for admission to various M.Tech (Master of Technology) and M.Pharma (Master of Pharmacy) courses offered by West Bengal University of Technology. 
 
The PGET Board as constituted by the West Bengal University of Technology is the sole authority to conduct the examination and declare the results.
 
 
Eligibility for WBPGET 2018 :-
 
A relevant AICTE recognised Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology/Pharmacy or Master’s degree in relevant branches of sciences or students in final year of any such programme.

WBJEE Medical

WBJEE Medical 2017 is the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination for the admission in Medical and Dental colleges of the State as well as at the Central level. This is the State level examination conducted by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board (WBJEEB) for filling the approximate 85% seats of the Medical and Dental Colleges.

The Application Procedure of WBJEE Medical 2017 will describe the steps for applying for the entrance examination. The Application Form of the exam will be available in the Online Mode only. Candidates will be able to apply when the form will be available. Check the below steps to fill the Application Form:
 
• Candidates should go on the Official website of the Examination Board i.e. www.wbjeeb.nic.in and the link to fill the Application Form will also be hosted here.
• Search for the Link of ‘WBJEE Medical 2017 Application Form’ and click on the link to fill the details into it.
• The Application Form filling process of WBJEE Medical 2017 will be divided into the 3 steps i.e. filling the details, uploading documents and do the payment.
• Candidates have to fill all the required details i.e. Personal, Educational and other important details into the Application Form.
• After filling the details, candidates have to upload the scanned Photograph and signature according to the instructions provided in the Information Brochure.
• The Payment of the Application Form Fee will be done after uploading the documents and it will be done via Credit/Debit card, Net Banking or via Challan receipt of Allahabad bank.
• When the payment of the Application Form is successfully done, candidates should click on the submit button for the final submission of the Application Form.

West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board conducts WBJEE for admission to Undergraduate Courses in Engineering & Technology, Pharmacy and Architecture courses in Universities, Govt. Colleges and Self Financed Institutes in the State.
 
WBJEE 2020 Eligibility:-
 
Citizenship: Applicant must be a citizen of India.
 
Age Restriction -
 
(i) The lower age limit is 17 (seventeen) years as on 31.12.2020. A candidate should have been born on or before 31.12.2002. There is no upper age limit in appearing in the WBJEE-2020.
 
(ii) However, for admission to the degree level Marine Engineering Course The lower age limit is 17 (seventeen) years as on 31.12.2020 and the upper age limit is 25 Years as on 31.12.2020. 
 
Academic Qualifications -
 
For admission to Engineering courses -
 
a) Candidate must have passed the Qualifying Examination i.e. the ‘10+2’ examination with Physics and Mathematics along with any one of Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology / Computer Science / Computer Application as compulsory subjects with individual pass marks (in both theory and practical wherever applicable) in all the three subjects as stated above in regular class mode. 
 
b) Must have obtained at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category e.g. ST, ST, OBC-A, OBC-B, PwD) in the above three subjects taken together.
 
c) Must have passed English in the ‘10+2’ examination with at least 30% marks.
 
d) The Board of the said Qualifying Examination must be recognized by the Central Government or State Government concerned. 
 
For admission to Pharmacy courses -
 
a) Candidate must have passed ‘10+2’ examination with Physics and Chemistry along with any one of Mathematics / Biotechnology / Biology / Computer Science / Computer Application as compulsory subjects with individual pass marks (in both theory and practical wherever applicable) in all the three subjects as stated above in regular class mode. 
 
b) Must have obtained at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category e.g. ST, ST, OBC-A, OBC-B, PwD) in the above three subjects taken together.
 
c) Must have passed English in the ‘10+2’ examination with at least 30% marks.

WB SLST

West Bengal Central School Service Commission conducts State Level Selection Test (WB SLST) for Recruitment of Assistant Teachers in Govt. aided / sponsored Secondary/Higher Secondary Schools.



WB SLST 2016 Eligibility:-



Minimum Marks required for appearing at recruitment examination in respect of Assistant Teachers for the Posts of Honours Graduate / Post Graduate Teachers is:



I) Essential

i. Honours Graduate/Post Graduate with at least 50% marks (or its equivalent) from UGC recognized University and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) from National Council for Teacher  Education recognized institution; or
ii. Honours Graduate / Post Graduate with at least 45% marks (or its equivalent)  from UGC  recognized University and  Bachelor of Education (B.Ed)  from  National  Council for Teacher  Education recognized institution in accordance with the National Council for Teacher Education (Form of application for recognition, the time limit of admission of application, determination of norms and standards for  recognition of teacher education programmes and permission to start  new  course  or  training) Regulations,  2002  notified  on  13.11.2002  and National Council  for Teacher  Education (Regulation norms and procedure) Regulations , 2007 notified on 10.12.2007. Or;
iii. Honours Graduate/Post  Graduate with at least 50% marks (or its equivalent) from UGC recognized University and  B.A. Ed./ B.Sc.Ed from any National Council for Teachers’ Education recognized institution.
iv. Relaxation of 5% of marks for Reserved Category Candidates.



Minimum Marks required for appearing at recruitment examination in respect of Assistant Teacher for the Posts of graduate in Work Education in school:



I) Essential:

i.Graduate from a UGC recognized University with Post Graduate Basic Training or  Work Education as a subject in Bachelor  of Education in  regular course from a Teachers’ Training Institution duly recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE); or
ii.Graduate with Degree or Diploma in Art and craft from any UGC Recognized University/ any UGC recognized educational Institution affiliated to any University ; or
iii.Graduate with Degree or  Diploma in Tailoring and needle work from any Institution duly recognized by any UGC recognized University/ from any UGC recognized University ; or
iv. Graduate from UGC recognized University with at least two years Degree or Diploma in the Work Education curriculum awarded by any UGC recognized University ; or;
v. Graduate Degree in Home Science or Agriculture  or  Graduate in Computer Science or Information Technology or Software systems from any UGC recognized University ; or
vi. Graduate in General Stream in Arts/Science/Commerce with Computer Science or Computer Application as a subject of at least 300 marks at the degree level from any UGC recognized University;

WB JEMAT

The Join Entrance Management Aptitude Test (JEMAT) is a state level eligibility of the Govt. of WB conducted by MAKAUTWB. Test held every year for for admission to the MBA/MHA/AICTE approved PG Diploma programmes offered by the Management Institutions of the State (both government and private). 

WB JEMAT 2020 Eligibility:-

The minimum qualification for admission to MBA/MHA/AICTE approved PG Diploma programmes is a Bachelors degree in Arts/ Science/ Commerce/ Engineering/ Technology/Medical/Dental/Agriculture or other professional courses from recognized universities. The candidates who will appear in final examination (Graduation) to be held in 2020 may apply.

West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board conducts JECA for admission to Master of Computer Application (MCA) course in various institutions in West Bengal.
 
Eligibility for WB JECA 2020: 
 
Age: There is no age limit for candidates wishing to appear for WB JECA 2020. 
 
Educational Qualification:
 
Module 1: Candidate must have passed 3-years Bachelor degree program from UGC recognized University with at least 60% in Honours/Aggregate (45% for SC/ST candidates) or AICTE recognized BCA from any University/Institute along with 60% marks (45% for SC/ST candidates) in Mathematics at the Bachelor’s level.
 
Candidates have to also secure at least 60% marks (45% for SC/ST candidates) in Secondary and Higher Secondary or equivalent level from recognized Boards with at least 60% marks (45% for SC/ST candidates) in Mathematics at each level.
 
Module 2: UGC and/or AICTE recognized (as the case may be) Bachelor’s degree of minimum 3-years duration except BBA with Mathematics at 10+2 level or graduate level.
 
Obtained 50% marks (45% marks for SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B candidates) at graduation level.
 
Module 3: Graduate or equivalent degree under (10+2+3) pattern in any discipline of a UGC recognized University/Institute or AICTE recognized B.E./B.Tech/BCA of a University/Institute. Candidate must have Mathematics as one of the subjects at each level of education. Candidates have to secure 60% marks (45% marks for SC/ST/OBC- A/OBC-B candidates) at each level education.
 
Module 4: B.Sc. Honours degree under (10+2+3) pattern in any discipline of a UGC recognized University/Institute with at least 60% marks in Hons./Aggregate (45% marks for SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B candidates) along with at least 55% marks in Mathematics  Candidate have to secure at least 60% marks in Secondary and Higher Secondary or equivalent level from recognized Boards with at least 60% marks in Mathematics at each level.
