LBS SET

With an emphasis on ensuring high standards of teaching in higher secondary courses the state government of Kerala conducts LBS SET exam for candidates wishing to be selected as Higher Secondary School Teachers and Non-vocational School Teachers in VHSE. Conducted by the LBS Center for Science and Technology Thiruvananthapuram, a pass in State Eligibility Test (SET) is a mandatory requirement for appointment as Higher Secondary School  Teachers in the state as per the special rules in force. LBS SET 2020 pass candidates will be issued SET certificates signed by the Director of Higher Secondary Education.

Eligibility for LBS SET 2020:-

Age - No age limit is prescribed for candidates appearing for the SET.

Educational Qualification:-

Those who have acquired II class Master’s Degree in Communicative English with not less than 50% marks and BEd are eligible to appear for SET in English Candidates who have acquired Diploma in Hindi  Teaching,  but  do  not have B.Ed. Degree, are eligible to apply for SET in accordance with the exemption clause provided in the Special Rules.
 
Candidates who have acquired B.Ed Degree in Hindi conducted by the Dakshin Bharatha Hindi Prachar Sabha are exempted from the requirement of producing the equivalency certificate, as the degree has been recognized by the Universities in Kerala.Candidates who have acquired their qualification through Correspondence Courses/ Open Universities which are not recognized by any one of the Universities in Kerala are not eligible to appear for the SET. Candidates who have acquired their qualifications through recognized correspondence courses/Open universities should obtain and furnish certificates of recognition and equivalency from any one of the Universities in Kerala.
 
Candidates who have acquired their Master’s Degree with the minimum required marks for eligibility to appear for SET and are undergoing their courses for B.Ed Degree are eligible to appear for the test. Similarly candidates who have acquired their B.Ed Degree and are undergoing the final year courses of their Post Graduate Programme are also eligible to appear for the test. Such candidates must produce the Certificates of their qualifying examinations passed with the minimum required marks within one year from the date of publication of the results of the test, failing which they shall be treated as disqualified.
 
Relaxation of Minimum marks  for  SC/ ST Candidates -  Candidates belonging to SC/ST categories shall be granted a relaxation of 5% marks in the minimum marks prescribed for the eligibility to appear for the State Eligibility Test.

LBS MCA 2019 Eligibility:-

Nativity -
 
The candidate must be an Indian Citizen. Certificate from a Village Officer or a competent authority showing that the candidate is a native of any State or Union Territory of India should be furnished in the prescribed format along with the print out of the application. True copies of the birth certificate issued by the competent authority/ passport/ school certificate-showing place of birth will also be accepted as proof of nativity.
 
Academic Eligibility -
 
Candidates should have passed in any recognized Bachelor’s Degree of minimum 3 years duration with Mathematics at 10+2 level OR at Graduate level. The candidate should have secured a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in their Degree examination, but, it is 45% for candidates belonging to reserved category. For SC and ST candidates, a minimum pass in the degree examination is sufficient. No rounding off of percentage of marks to the nearest higher integer is permitted.
 
Note: 
 
(1) Candidate seeking admission to the course should be qualified from any of the universities in Kerala or any other Universities, recognized by any of the Universities in Kerala.
 
(2) Final Year regular Bachelor’s Degree students are also permitted to appear for the Entrance Examination subject to the condition that the original degree certificate and mark lists of all parts of the qualifying examination shall be produced by the candidate at the time of admission.

Sri Krishnadevaraya University, Anantapur conducts Andhra Pradesh Common Law Entrance Tests (APLAWCET &  APPGLCET) on behalf of Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education, Hyderabad for admission into LL.B 3/5 Year Law Courses and LL.M Courses in the Universities in Andhra Pradesh and their affiliated colleges.

AP LAWCET 2020 Eligibility:-

1. The candidates should be Indian Nationals and should satisfy local/non- local status requirements laid down in the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions (Regulations of Admission) Order, 1974 as amended up to date.

2. The candidates other than Indian Nationals should satisfy the rules of the Universities concerned.

3. The candidates seeking admission:-

i. Qualifying marks in AP LAWCET-2020 is 35% ( i.e. 42 Marks out of 120 marks)and no minimum marks are prescribed for SC/ST candidates.

AP PGLCET 2020 Eligibility:-

a) Candidates holding LL.B./B.L. 3/5 Year degree on the date of application and candidates who have appeared/appearing for LL.B./B.L. Final year examination are also eligible.
b) The Candidates seeking admission into LL.M. (Private Appearance) of Sri Krishna Devaraya University, Anantapur shall have a minimum experience of 3-years as a judicial officer or 3-years standing as an advocate on the date of appearing for AP PGLCET-2015.

A candidate appearing for LLB/BL degree examinations may take the APPGLCET in anticipation of results. However he/she should pass at the time of counseling.

The basic objective of KVPY fellowship is to attract exceptionally highly motivated students for pursuing basic science courses and research career in science. Apart from indentifying students with talent and aptitude for research, this fellowship enables them to

The fellowship of the students selected under this stream will be activated only if they join an undergraduate course in Basic Sciences (B.Sc./B.S./B.Stat./B.Math./Int. M.Sc./Int. M.S.) in the academic year 2021-22 after having secured a minimum of  60% (50% for SC/ST/PWD) marks in aggregate in Science subjects in the XII standard/(+2) Board Examination. During the interim period of one year they will be invited for the National  Science (Vijyoshi) Camp and their travel expenses and local hospitality will be met by KVPY.
 
Stream SX: Students enrolled in XII Standard/ (+2) (Science subjects) during the academic year 2019–20 and aspiring to join undergraduate program in Basic Sciences namely Physics/Chemistry/Mathematics & Biology leading to  B.Sc./B.S./B.Stat./B.Math./Int. M.Sc./Int. M.S. for the session 2020–21 provided they have secured a minimum of 75% (65% for SC/ST/PWD) marks in aggregate in MATHEMATICS and SCIENCE subjects (Physics/Chemistry/ Biology) in the X Standard Board Examination during the academic year 2017-18 are eligible to appear for the Aptitude test.
 
The fellowship of the students selected under this stream will be activated only if  they join an undergraduate course in Basic science (B.Sc./B.S./B.Stat./B.Math./Int. M.Sc./Int. M.S.) in the academic year 2020-21 after having secured a minimum of  60% (50% for SC/ST/PWD) marks in aggregate in MATHEMATICS and SCIENCE subjects (Physics/Chemistry/Biology) in the XII standard Board Examination during academic year 2019-20.
 
Students in their 2nd year of study in Cambridge International Examination Board and aspiring to join an UG program (viz. B.Sc./B.S./B.Stat./B.Math./Int. M.Sc./Int. M.S.)in Basic Sciences namely Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology in the Academic year 2019-20 are eligible to apply provided they have secured a minimum of 75% (65% for SC/ST/PWD) marks in aggregate in MATHEMATICS and SCIENCE subjects (Physics/Chemistry/Biology) in the X Standard Board Examination. KSET

The University of Mysore conducts Karnataka State Eligibility Test (KSET) for lecturer and assistant professorship. Karnataka State Eligibility Test (K-SET) Center for Lectureship conducts this exam with a total of 32 subject specializations. KSET is made up of three papers consisting of multiple choice questions (MCQ). While the first paper of the exam focuses on teaching and aptitude, papers II and III focus on subject specialization. Karnataka SET 2020 is important for candidates wishing to apply to posts of lecturer or assistant professor in different universities, colleges and institutions in the state of Karnataka.
 
Eligibility for KSET 2020: 
 
 Candidates who have secured at least 55% of marks (without rounding off) for general category and 50% for Schedule Category (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST),Persons with Disability (PWD), OBCs [Cat-I, IIA, IIB, IIIA and IIIB], in Master's Degree OR equivalent examination from universities / institutions recognized by UGC New Delhi, in the subjects opted for KSET.
 
Candidates who are pursuing their Master's Degree (First or Second Semester) or equivalent course or candidates who have appeared for their Master's Degree (Final Year) examination and whose result is still awaited or candidates whose qualifying examinations have been delayed may also apply for this test. However, such candidates will be admitted provisionally and for those who clear the KSET, eligibility certificate will be issued only on production of proof for having passed the Master's degree or equivalent examination securing at least 55% marks (50% in case of SC,ST, OBC [Cat- I, IIA, IIB, IIIA, IIIB]and PWD candidates) within two years from the date of KSET result, failing which they will be treated as disqualified.
 
Candidates shall appear for KSET in their relevant subject of their post-graduation only, in case the candidate did not find the subject of his/her post-graduation in the list of KSET subjects, the candidate may appear in UGC-NET / UGC-CSIR NET which is held twice a year.
 
The Ph.D. degree holders whose Master's level examination had been completed by 19th September, 1991 (irrespective of date of declaration of result), shall be eligible for a relaxation of 5% in aggregate marks (i.e., from 55% to 50%) for appearing in SET.
 
Candidates other than general category are required to mention their reservation status in the online application form. The candidates should upload the category certificates issued by the competent authorities and attested by gazetted officer on or before the last date for submission of online application form. [for SC, ST, CAT-I, IIA, IIB, IIIA and IIIB candidates only]. In case their ineligibility is detected due to invalid certificate by the KSET agency at any stage, their candidature will be cancelled without prior notice and they shall be liable for legal action.
 
The candidates of other states except Karnataka, belonging to OBCs (SC, ST & Other Backward Classes) categories shall be treated as General Merit [GM] only. As per the reservation policy of Karnataka Government.
 
Candidates should note that their candidature is provisional. The mere fact that admission to the examination will not imply that the KSET center has finally accepted his/her candidature. Candidates may note that candidature will be deemed final only upon fulfilling of eligibility conditions.
 
Candidate who became eligible in Previous KSETs are not eligible to apply again in the same subject. If any candidate found to be eligible in previous KSET tests and reappearing on same subject in current KSET, their candidature will be cancelled and the previous eligibility is withdrawn through de-notification.
 
Candidates with post-graduate diploma/certificate awarded by Indian University/Institute or foreign degree/diploma/certificate awarded by the foreign University/ Institute should in their own interest, ascertain the equivalence of their diploma/degree/certificate with Master's degree of recognized Indian universities from Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi (www.aiu.ac.in).
 
AGE Limit - There is no upper age limit to apply for KSET-2020.
 
Exemption -
 
KSET shall remain the minimum eligibility condition for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professors in Universities / Colleges / Institutions of Higher education (Government/Aided/Private) in Karnataka State.
 
NET/SET/SLET shall remain the minimum eligibility condition for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professors in Universities/Colleges/ Institutions. In this regard, exemption from NET/SET/SLET will be governed by UGC regulations and amendments notified in the Gazette of India for time to time.
 
The candidates who have passed the UGC-NET/CSIR JRF examination prior to 1989 are also exempted from KSET examination.
 
For SET candidates: The candidates who have cleared the States Eligibility Test (SET) accredited by UGC for eligibility for Assistant Professor held prior to 1st June 2002, are exempted from appearing in KSET, being eligible to apply for Assistant Professor anywhere in India. For SET held from 1st June 2002 onwards, the qualified candidates are eligible to apply for the post of Assistant Professor only in the Universities/ Colleges situated in the state from where they have cleared their SET.
